IP Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior IP Manager to spearhead our Intellectual Property team.

This role will be responsible for developing and managing the growing IP portfolio, enforcing IP processes to ensure timely protection of intellectual property, and working closely with Global IP Head, Research and Development, and Portfolio teams.

  • Develop strategic product development plans and manage effective product development strategies for the portfolio.
  • Identify patentable inventions, provide guidance on patentability, and draft patents and freedom to operate reports.
  • File and prosecute inventive solutions to build significant wealth of intellectual property.
  • Monitor third-party scientific and patent publications and provide IP-related inputs to support legal agreements and negotiations.
  • Partner with other legal and business functions to provide strategic advice and strategy in connection with M&A transactions, licensing agreements, research collaborations, adverse proceedings, and litigation activities.
  • Manage patent, trademark, copyright, and related issues, maintain records, and educate management and scientists on best practices for protecting inventions and intellectual property.
  • Lead a team of IP professionals, prepare budgets, and empower team members to grow and develop in their roles.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or post-graduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences, with additional specialization in Intellectual Property desirable. They will have at least 13+ years of work experience in a global pharmaceutical company, with strong team handling skills and experience in product IP clearances, patent drafting, and prosecution.

The successful candidate will be well organized, detail-oriented, and a team player capable of working in a deadline-dictated environment. Fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
