Scrum Master Job Description

The Scrum Master plays a vital role in leading Agile teams to deliver high-quality products. They are responsible for facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

The Technical Scrum Master is a hybrid role that combines Scrum Master responsibilities with technical product ownership. This individual will lead sprint delivery, govern Azure DevOps, and ensure ongoing sustainment of Monday.com, including integrations, custom boards, and automations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Maintain and track sprint artifacts, velocity metrics, and backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Approve/manage Azure DevOps access, maintain security, compliance, and role governance.
  • Oversee sustainment and enhancement of Monday.com platform integrations, custom boards, and automations.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable development tasks and work closely with developers.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues, provide technical support, and maintain documentation (runbooks, knowledge articles).
  • Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to manage priorities and expectations.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in Agile practices, platform governance, and delivery efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Monday.com, Azure DevOps, integrations, custom boards, and automations.
  • Experience in application sustainment, platform support, and working in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and leadership capabilities.
