Fundraising Specialist for High-Net-Worth Individuals

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Fundraising Specialist focused on high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing large-ticket donations from this demographic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure significant donations from high-net-worth individuals, alumni, and influential networks.
  • Create and maintain an extensive database of potential donors using wealth intelligence tools and personal network connections.
  • Establish and track target-based fundraising goals, and report progress through donor engagement metrics and regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Craft and deliver compelling pitches, proposals, and presentations to secure funding commitments from key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute high-impact events, experiences, and communications that engage and motivate donors.
  • Negotiate and steward relationships with donors, trustees, and leadership to ensure successful fundraising outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, social sciences, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with high-net-worth individuals, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, or corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in securing high-value donations from HNIs, UHNIs, foundations, and grants.
  • Excellent networking, relationship-building, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including bilingual proficiency in Tamil and English.
  • Ability to work independently and lead pitches and closures to senior management.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, target-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of current trends in CSR, philanthropy, and HNI donor behaviors.
