Release Manager Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our release management process. With 12-15 years of experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire release lifecycle in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

  • About the Job:
    • You will develop and maintain comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
    • You will work closely with Development, QA, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure all teams are aligned and prepared for upcoming releases.
    • You will identify, track, and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
    • You will ensure all changes are well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
    • You will coordinate deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS), ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
    • You will champion continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices; drive automation to improve release reliability and efficiency.
    • You will track release progress and provide regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
    • You will lead the resolution of issues during release phases to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
    • You will maintain and manage the organization's release calendar, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
    • You will oversee the merging of validated changes into main code branches, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.
    • You will present planned changes in CAB meetings and secure approvals as required across different regions.
    • You will organize and conduct Go/No-Go meetings with stakeholders to assess readiness before deployment.
    • You will monitor post-release performance, coordinate hotfixes if needed, and facilitate Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR).
    • You will ensure all release-related documentation is complete, up-to-date, and meets compliance/audit standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
