Key Responsibilities

  • Support corrosion and materials engineering activities across the organization.
  • Develop and implement effective corrosion modelling solutions to optimize operations and project delivery.
  • Collaborate with advisors and subject matter experts to interpret and apply modelling output.
  • Build a centre of excellence for corrosion and erosion modelling.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the modelling toolset to enhance value delivery.
  • Integrate modelling with real-time data to improve risk management.
  • Provide technical expertise in corrosion and materials engineering to other teams across the organization.
  • Ensure the implementation of pragmatic solutions to manage risk, production efficiency, defect elimination, and standardization.
  • Support corrosion threat assessments for regions and projects, and develop mitigation programs.
  • Work with digital and I&E engineering teams to develop technology programs and deploy use cases.
  • Support the development of central tools and processes, and prepare guidance documents as required.

People and Business Related:

  • Lead by example in safety leadership principles and process safety fundamentals.
  • Record relevant learning in shared systems and incorporate into local activities.
  • Support performance management through KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Education:

  • Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Postgraduate certification in Chemistry or PhD preferred.

Experience and Job Requirements:

  • Minimum years of proven experience in chemistry and modelling.
  • Experience working in technical areas related to the discipline applied to operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Corrosion modelling and application.
  • Technical expertise in chemical modelling, electrochemistry, surface chemistry, and chemistry.
  • Erosion and tribology knowledge.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for corrosion and integrity management.
  • Leadership, teamwork, and networking skills.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.

Good to Have:

  • Integrity management in oil and gas projects.
