Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide corrosion and materials engineering expertise to support the identification and implementation of pragmatic solutions for managing risk, ensuring production efficiency, and eliminating defects.
  • Collaborate with various squads to handle corrosion and erosion threats on equipment.
  • Support the development of corrosion and materials mitigation programs across different teams.
  • Develop performance management dashboards for IM programs in regional teams.
  • Work with digital or IE engineering teams to develop corrosion materials related technology programs.
  • Integrate with associated teams to ensure adequate equipment care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Corrosion or Materials Engineering related field (e.g., chemical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, civil engineering).
  • Post graduate certification in corrosion.
  • Certifications: Professional accreditation (e.g., Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer).
  • Preferred certifications: Experience of API 580 and API 581 risk-based inspection method.
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience working in the field of Corrosion or Materials Engineering in oil and gas production.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Operational corrosion management experience.
  • Technical expertise in several areas related to the discipline applied to Operations (e.g., materials selection, failure investigation, corrosion mechanisms).
  • Familiar with industry standards for corrosion and integrity management and their application.
