Stepup Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Datacenter Professional to join our team

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in datacenter technologies, including servers, storage, and virtualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of datacenter solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve efficiency within the practice.
  • Manage relationships with technology partners, vendors, and service organizations to augment NewWave's current service delivery capability.
  • Align the datacenter practice with the organization's overall business strategy and goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the practice, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Technical Expertise

Deep knowledge of core datacenter technologies, including:

  • Servers
  • Storage VMware
  • Nutanix
  • Commvault/Veeam/Dell DPS
  • Checkpoint/Fortinet along with Windows Server

Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, and how on-premise datacenter solutions integrate with public clouds (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) and HCI platforms (e.g., Nutanix).

Proficiency in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Commvault, Veeam).

Strong understanding of network security, especially with technologies like Fortinet & Checkpoint.

Leadership and Team Management

Proven experience in leading technical teams, including engineers, and project managers.

Focus on mentoring and developing team members, providing opportunities for growth and certification in relevant technologies.

Skills in resource planning, allocation, and optimization to ensure project success.

Experience in conducting performance evaluations, setting goals, and managing team dynamics.

Project Management

Expertise in managing datacenter projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project) would be very beneficial to the role.

Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with datacenter projects.

Commitment to continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.

Customer Facing

Strong focus on understanding customer needs, building relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction by successfully completing all projects.

Experience in supporting sales teams with technical expertise, and running assessments on customer infrastructures.

Ability to manage relationships with technology partners, including vendors like VMware, Nutanix, Commvault, Veeam, and Fortinet and develop a set of strategic relationships with service organizations that will augment Stepup Staffing's current service delivery capability.

Strategic Planning and Business Acumen

Ability to align the datacenter practice with the organization's overall business strategy and goals.

Understanding of market trends and the competitive landscape in the datacenter space and align capabilities inside Stepup Staffing to best deliver those services.

Experience with P&L management, budgeting, and financial planning within a practice.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and trends in the datacenter space.

Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the practice, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Involvement in the development of new services and solutions that leverage emerging technologies and meet evolving customer needs.

Certifications

Hold relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Nutanix Certified Professional, Fortinet NSE) and ensure the team achieves and maintains necessary certifications as needed by Stepup Staffing.

Reporting and Analytics

Ability to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the practice and team members.

Regularly report on the practice's performance, including financials, project status, and customer satisfaction.

Communication and Collaboration

Ability to work effectively with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, finance) to achieve business objectives.

Skilled in managing and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

This diverse set of skills and responsibilities ensures that a Senior Datacenter Professional at Stepup Staffing is well-equipped to drive success, both technically and strategically.
