Job Role

The Corporate Counsel will be a key member of the legal team, providing expert solutions to drive business forward. This role requires a seasoned professional with 8-14 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring risk and compliance issues, and implementing mitigation/remediation strategies.
  • Providing guidance on reviewing/drafting policies, guidelines, and SOPs for regulatory compliance.
  • Advising on data protection and privacy legislations, including incident management and record retention best practices.
  • Supporting cybersecurity compliance and risk management, including advising on disclosure requirements and interacting with external partners.
  • Guiding on compliance with immigration laws in EU, APAC, and MEA regions, including review of policy documents relating to business travel, work visa regulations, reporting, and notification requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • LLB/LLM degree along with relevant experience as compliance counsel preferably in multinational companies.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, including those relating to Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Immigration, and Mobility.
  • Ability to manage independent projects, interacting with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Capacity to support review and audit exercises in collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters.
