Job Overview

The role of Inventory Control Specialist is to oversee the procurement, warehousing and inventory management for banking devices. This involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.

  • Understand user requirements and evaluate available products/services in the market.
  • Compare goods/services with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
  • Finalize vendor and cost through a request for proposal (RFP) process, considering user requirements and techno-commercial evaluations.
  • Support user and legal functions for contract execution from a supply chain perspective.
  • Handle end-to-end activities related to warehousing & inventory control management for all banking products/devices.
  • Coordinate with relevant user functions regularly to understand their requirements/demands and manage sufficient inventories for each product accordingly through proper planning and ordering management.
  • Review existing contracts related to banking products, warehousing and inventory control, and maintain a tracker & repository.
  • Cost-saving initiatives through contract negotiation with partners/agencies.
  • Raise agreements as per contracting guidelines well in advance and ensure renewals before expiry.
  • End-to-end handling of imports shipments. Regular coordination with foreign partners, freight forwarders, customs brokers and custom departments for arranging materials on time, considering user requirements.
  • Engage with user functions to understand needs and resolve pain points related to purchases, warehousing and imports.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure vendor PO issuance and payments on time.
  • Regular coordination with vendors for timely delivery of ordered products/services and collecting inventory reports daily.
  • Preparation and publication of inventory reports for all products on a daily basis.
  • Support data analysis for monthly procurement reports.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new products.
  • Manage vendor partnerships to ensure products and services are provided at competitive pricing and in a timely manner.
