Lead Ceph Storage Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Ceph Storage Engineer to lead our large-scale Ceph deployments and contribute to the open-source community. As a key member of our storage team, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing scalable Ceph solutions.

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers to design and implement complex Ceph infrastructures with high availability and performance.
  • Architecture & Design: Plan multi-datacenter Ceph infrastructures with high availability and performance.
  • Deployment & Operations: Oversee installation, tuning, upgrades, and lifecycle of Ceph clusters across environments.
  • Performance & Capacity: Conduct capacity planning for growing workloads.
  • Automation & Python Scripting: Develop custom tools and automate tasks using Python to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Build robust monitoring solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8-9 years of experience in Ceph storage engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Ceph architecture and design principles
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
