Database Administrator

Job Summary:

A highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator is required to work in a Full-Time Employee role. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2, Oracle Database 12c, 19c, and rman. Additionally, they should possess good knowledge of Linux, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong understanding of Oracle core database architecture and concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Configuration: Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
  • System Management: Starting and Stopping the application and database.
  • Monitoring: Monitoring the application related products like oacore, oafm, apache, etc.
  • Bouncing Services: Bouncing apache, oacore, oafm if needed.
  • Backup and Recovery: Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Database Design: Take care of the Database design and implementation.
  • Security: Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
  • Team Work: Work as part of a team and provide 24×7 support.
  • Troubleshooting: Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
  • Interface with Oracle Corporation: Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
  • Performance Monitoring: Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Application Tuning: Perform application tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Cloning: Cloning DEV and TEST from PROD.
  • Code Migration: Code Migration Support to Functional Consultants.
  • Ticket Handling: Handling tickets raised by functional/technical/business users.
  • Alerts: Handling Alerts raised by alert monitoring system from Database and applications.
  • Patch Analysis: Patch Analysis where there is a patch needs to be applied.
  • Patch Application: Patch Application using adop online patch cycle as per schedule.
  • Regular Maintenance: Regular database maintenance activities (tablespace management, datapump, purging logfiles etc.).
