Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech System Engineer to design, optimize and implement next-generation speech recognition and text-to-speech systems for consumer AI products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop low-latency speech recognition systems that work reliably on constrained hardware (edge devices).
  • Implement and enhance multi-voice text-to-speech systems, including style variations.
  • Prototype and refine wake-word detection and integrate noise suppression, VAD, AGC and audio normalization techniques.
  • Apply model optimization techniques for offline/CPU-first inference.
  • Design caching, streaming and batching strategies to meet real-time performance targets.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to expose APIs for integration into apps.
  • Monitor performance using observability dashboards.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in applied AI, with at least 3 years focused on speech technologies.
  • Proven experience building production-grade STT/TTS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of audio/DSP fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Python (PyTorch).
  • Familiarity with wake-word frameworks and streaming audio integration.
  • Track record of delivering low-latency speech systems optimized for edge devices.
