Financial Valuation Associate

As a Financial Valuation Associate, you will focus on driving business decisions through valuations and financial modeling. You will be responsible for valuating businesses and intangible assets, analyzing historical financial results to explain business trends and identify risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Valuate businesses and intangible assets including ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718/409A, ASC 820 and ASC 805, real estate, complex securities and embedded derivatives.
  • Analyze financial data to understand business performance and develop insights for decision-making.
  • Challenge assumptions related to future financial projections and contribute to the development of discount rates.
  • Develop financial models to drive business growth and perform market research to estimate industry growth.
  • Construct and review valuation models and assist in designing and preparing valuation reports.
  • Present analyses to internal management and external clients, providing clear recommendations for business growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in financial valuation, fair value assessments and/or goodwill impairments.
  • Experience with financial databases such as Capital IQ and Excel is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines is essential.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to succeed in this role. Technical skills in working with financial models in Excel are also required.
