As a key architect and builder, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of software engineering excellence at our organization. Your expertise will drive engineering best practices, mentor junior engineers, and help define our company culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning Design, Architecture, and Execution of Large-Scale Backend Systems: You will lead the design, architecture, and execution of large-scale backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, performant, and reliable.
  • Leading Initiatives from Roadmap to Production: You will lead initiatives from the roadmap to production, focusing on payment rails and compliance layers. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentoring Junior Engineers and Defining Engineering Culture: You will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, helping them grow and develop their skills. Additionally, you will contribute to defining our company's engineering culture, ensuring it remains innovative and forward-thinking.
  • Collaborating with Product, Compliance, and Infra Teams: You will work closely with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams to prioritize business-critical projects and drive success.
  • Driving Performance, Scalability, and Observability Efforts: You will focus on driving performance, scalability, and observability efforts across our systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 Years of Backend Development Experience: You should have 8-10 years of experience in backend development, preferably in high-scale environments.
  • Strong System Design and Database Fundamentals: You should possess strong system design and database fundamentals, as well as API architecture skills.
  • Deep Experience in Building from Scratch: You should have deep experience in building from scratch, with a focus on journey ownership.
  • Proven Track Record of Solving Infrastructure or Payments-Related Problems: You should have a proven track record of solving infrastructure or payments-related problems.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: You should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, able to motivate and guide your team towards shared goals.
  • Prior Startup or Fast-Growth Environment Experience: Prior experience in a startup or fast-growth environment is highly desirable but not required.
