Role Overview

We seek a highly skilled Intellectual Property (IP) professional to lead our patent drafting and prosecution efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crafting high-quality patent applications, demonstrating excellent technical expertise, and outstanding communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications for cutting-edge inventions in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) domain.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for responding to office actions, ensuring seamless project delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Create well-crafted provisional specifications and complete patent applications, adhering to US and European Patent Office legal and procedural standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide training on multiple technical areas, fostering knowledge sharing and growth within the organization.
  • Mentor junior professionals and interns on assigned technology areas, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful project execution.
  • Apply process knowledge to deliver consistent, high-quality results across various tasks and projects.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify performance gaps, implement best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance team productivity and overall performance.
  • Utilize available tools to analyze and resolve complex problems efficiently.
  • Participate in the hiring process by developing test materials, evaluating candidates, and contributing to interview panels.
  • Lead specialized technical teams in high-stakes assignments and projects requiring exceptional proficiency and competency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering/technology from a reputable institution.
  • Proven domain expertise in ICT fields, with a strong understanding of IP laws and regulations.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution, including at least 2 years of experience in drafting patent applications for the US jurisdiction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience drafting 50+ patent applications for the US market.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools used in patent drafting and prosecution.
