About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring compliance with lender, tax, and investor requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with third-party property teams to manage day-to-day accounting operations using MRI software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall property level accounting, including review and oversight of third-party property teams.
- Review financial reports, annual budgets, and quarterly budget re-projections for accuracy and consistency.
- Provide support to third-party MRI users and review operating and tax escalations.
- Prepare unaudited financial reports, audited financial statements with footnotes, and comprehensive audit support.
- Collaborate with construction professionals to provide accounting for development projects.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of property accounting experience, with a focus on commercial real estate.
- Experience working with funds and/or joint ventures, fair value GAAP, tax accounting, and IFRS.
- Proficient in tenant recoveries (CAM), waterfall calculations, and loan compliance.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
