Senior Performance Tester

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Tester to play an integral role in our engineering team, developing a comprehensive performance testing strategy and translating performance requirements into scenarios that replicate production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, script, and execute load, stress, and scalability testing, delivering comprehensive reports to the project team.
  • Maintain technical expertise in performance/load testing principles and dictums.
  • Develop solutions for supporting Cloud and CI/CD for SeV utilization.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Monitor server metrics using APM tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement measures to increase automation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Innovate and implement solutions based on industry standards.
  • Analyze business requirements, solution designs, and process documentation to identify feasible business critical transactions.
  • Implement best performance test practices and standards as part of Enterprise solution.

Operational Management Responsibilities:

  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, and volume testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure.
  • Provide performance testing software systems support for respective business units.
  • Coordinate and execute creation of Test Cases, scripts, and performance test execution.
  • Design, develop, and execute scripts to validate test cases defined within the project's test plan.
  • Perform load testing across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on overall application performance and validating application responses accurately reflecting business requirements.

People Leadership Responsibility:

  • Mentor and guide junior team members.

Governance & Risk Responsibilities:

  • Track and communicate task progress, status, and key performance metrics.
  • Promptly and accurately report defects found in testing using standard defect tracking tools.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Performance testing experience.
  • Min 5 years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner using protocols Citrix, RDP, Java, and Performance testing Mobile Technologies and database.
  • Significant experience working with JMeter and APM tools including NewRelic and Graphana.
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing using SOAP UI, Postman, and Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Performance testing principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance (SQA) processes and practices.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in CI/CD tools and practices.
