Research Economist Position

We are seeking a Research Economist to join our Pricing and Purchasing department under Global Intelligence & Analytics.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in developing, enhancing, and expanding analyses and forecasts with specific emphasis on translating insights into relevant, actionable client solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and update historical and forecast data to support business decisions.
  • Participate in the development of forecasting models to improve predictive accuracy.
  • Forecast near-term prices for a global buying audience based on market trends and analysis.
  • Create regular reports highlighting the drivers of the near-term price outlook to inform business strategy.
  • Respond to clients' research-related questions by providing thought leadership and timely insight.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics plus 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to interpret data and research, and write structured, compelling reports.
  • Statistical/modeling experience, preferably in EViews.
  • Excellent coordination skills; ability to prioritize workload and work to deadlines and under pressure.
