Apparel Buyer Job Summary:

This role involves creating and managing a product mix that aligns with brand identity and drives sales growth through trend forecasting, vendor management, pricing strategy, and sales analysis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create a product assortment strategy based on current trends and customer preferences across all sales channels.
  • Develop data-driven purchasing choices, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain strong relationships with them.
  • Develop competitive pricing models in line with market trends and financial objectives.
  • Regularly review sales data, adjust strategies, and report findings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with design teams to stay ahead of fashion trends and identify new product opportunities.
  • Work with marketing and other teams to ensure seamless product launches and availability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or Business.
  • 3-5 years of apparel buying experience in retail.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and trend forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and buying/planning software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
