Job Role

The Service Virtualization Engineer is a pivotal member of the Integrated Environments and Release Team, responsible for driving efficiency and flexibility in non-production test environments through service virtualization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a central point of contact for technical inquiries and issues related to Service Virtualization.
  • Identify opportunities to engage and deliver Service Virtualization outcomes in accordance with requirements, prioritizing maximum value creation.
  • Own SV patterns and technical artifacts supporting the Service Virtualization capability, maintaining consistency, ease of support, and growth.
  • Deliver high-quality documentation.
  • Utilize standards, frameworks, and patterns with supported tools from the Integrated Environments & Release team, contributing to the upliftment of Service Virtualization capability through knowledge sharing and improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively manage risk and ensure the ongoing maintenance of the tool aligns with security guidelines and operational availability for end-users.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in virtualizing services via Service Virtualization tooling, with specific advantage in Microfocus SV.
  • Ability to establish reusable patterns and mentor/train others in their use across Cloud, 3rd party, and on-premises applications.
  • Knowledge of various protocols and messaging formats.
  • Test environment management expertise.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, DevOps, and automation tools.
  • Agile mindset in delivery.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid judgment, reasoning, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Capacity to work autonomously.
  • Testing API and Web Services experience.
  • Ability to extract and obtain requirements from stakeholders.
