Operational Audit Specialist

  • You will play a key role in identifying risks and developing strategies to provide analysis and interpretation to management.
  • Design and execute comprehensive audits around topics such as procurement, projects and supply chain management to address identified risks.
  • Enhance and challenge existing audit techniques by leveraging your expertise in engineering, IT and business.
  • Develop and promote digital use cases that increase coverage and overall assurance in collaboration with our data analytics team.
  • Drive assurance objectives during fieldwork, including stakeholder interviews and technical evaluations.
  • Participate in meetings with senior management to present conclusions and recommended improvements.
  • Maintain and build relationships within various businesses and functions.
  • Make the most of opportunities to participate in audits across different practices.
  • Conduct audits using agile methodologies.

Requirements:

">
  • A strong academic background with a master's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, IT and/or business.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in industries similar to Siemens DI, SI or MO, or a Big 4 accounting or consulting firm.
  • Ability to transfer an engineering/technology mindset into multiple audit cases.
  • Understanding of projects from bid stage to execution, including documentation, tendering, scheduling, achievements and resource allocation.
  • Necessary skills, experience and motivation to develop out of Controlling and Finance Assurance department within 6-8 years and move into a business role at Siemens.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and education.
  • Demonstrated history of career advancement.
  • Ability to continue an accelerated career track.
  • Fluency in English along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% (including internationally) and adapt to remote-working culture.
