Senior Coding Leadership Position

Job Description:

This is a senior-level leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations of the coding unit. The AVP will be accountable for managing workload and staffing, hiring and performance appraisals, as well as developing long-range and short-term goals.

The role requires the ability to design and implement systems and methods to improve data accessibility. Strong problem-solving skills are essential in identifying, assessing, and resolving issues. Preparing administrative reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements are also key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the coding unit, including workload and staffing management.
  • Develop long-range and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and controlling budgets.
  • Evaluate the impact of innovations and changes in programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Design and implement systems and methods to improve data accessibility.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve problems.
  • Prepare administrative reports.
  • Ensure coding compliance program integrity.

Requirements:

  • 17+ years of experience in Multispecialty Coding.
  • Excellent communication and managerial skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
