As a storage system expert, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing innovative storage solutions.

Key to this role is your ability to balance performance and power requirements across various use cases, leveraging your expertise in storage system design and firmware development.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal and external teams to contribute to the creation of next-generation storage products, from concept through production.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop customized controller firmware for enterprise-class storage systems.
  • Develop firmware using C/C++ and assembly programming languages.
  • Collaborate on modeling efforts to optimize storage product performance.
  • Support device characterization, benchmarking, and optimization efforts.
  • Work closely with architecture, hardware, validation, and software teams to deliver high-quality storage solutions.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware issues.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices by working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the storage domain.
  • Hands-on experience with storage interfaces: PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC.
  • Proven track record of firmware design, customization, and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desirable: prior exposure to device drivers and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
