Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Python, Java, Selenium, Web API testing, and DevOps practices.

  • Automation Frameworks
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python/Java and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Test Automation
  • Automate functional, regression, API, and integration test cases.
  • Web API Testing
  • Perform REST/SOAP Web API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Python requests libraries.
  • Collaboration
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Agile Principles
  • Ensure testing is aligned with Agile/DevOps principles and shift-left testing strategies.
  • Performance Testing
  • Conduct performance, compatibility, and reliability testing where applicable.
  • Test Planning
  • Write and review test plans, test cases, and test scripts for coverage and traceability.
  • Infrastructure Validation
  • Support DevOps testing by automating infrastructure validation, smoke testing in cloud deployments, and monitoring pipelines.
  • Code Reviews
  • Participate in code reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement discussions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Programming Languages

  • Strong hands-on experience in Python (mandatory) and working knowledge of Java.

Automation Tools

  • Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Pytest, or Robot Framework.

Web API Testing

  • Experience with RESTful/SOAP APIs, using Postman, Rest Assured, or Python libraries.

DevOps and CI/CD

  • Hands-on with Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.

Version Control Systems

  • Git/GitHub/GitLab experience is essential.

Database Testing

  • Knowledge of SQL queries for data validation.

Agile Practices

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
