Job Title: Oracle Data Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle data architect to design and implement scalable, domain-aligned target-state data models in support of application decoupling and cloud-native service delivery.

About the Role:

This role involves performing a comprehensive assessment of existing monolithic data models and designing data models for microservices or distributed architectures.

  • Assess and document existing relational data models.
  • Define target-state logical and physical data models aligned with microservices and bounded context principles.
  • Design data partitioning, ownership boundaries, and communication patterns between microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and document existing relational data models focusing on Oracle-based systems and legacy applications.

- Identify dependencies, shared schemas, and tightly coupled data entities across business domains.

- Define target-state logical and physical data models aligned with microservices and bounded context principles.

- Design data partitioning, ownership boundaries, and communication patterns (e.g. eventing, API contracts) between microservices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Oracle (PL/SQL, schema design, performance tuning).
  • 3+ years of experience designing data models for microservices or distributed architectures.
