Finance Data Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Finance Data Specialist to join our team and support a large-scale transformation programme.

The role involves validating end-to-end financial processes, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and compliance with industry standards throughout the programme.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing test cases for finance processes, including penny testing, subledger reconciliation, and cash lifecycle testing.
  • Testing integrations between policy administration systems, claims systems, and the finance subledger to ensure end-to-end process accuracy.
  • Validating IFRS/UK GAAP postings and confirming accounting rules are correctly applied for premiums, claims, and reinsurance.
  • Performing data validation for high-volume insurance transactions and ensuring data integrity across multiple source systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in finance/ERP testing within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Hands-on experience with penny testing, reconciliations, and cash management workflows.
  • A good understanding of insurance finance flows: premiums, claims, reinsurance, and bordereaux processing.
  • Knowledge of subledger posting logic, chart of accounts, and financial controls.
