About this Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM Sterling Technical Specialist to join our team. As an IBM Sterling Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation, customization, development, and support of IBM Sterling solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities include leading the implementation and customization of IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based solutions, collaborating with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, configuring and customizing software to meet specific client needs, conducting system testing and quality assurance, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to IBM Sterling OMS software, and providing training and support to end-users on IBM Sterling functionality.

  • Lead the implementation and customization of IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and customizations.
  • Configure and customize IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based custom applications software to meet specific client needs, including menu layouts, pricing, promotions, and integrations with other systems.
  • Conduct system testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and functionality of IBM Sterling OMS solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBM Sterling OMS software, providing timely and effective support to clients.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling 9.1).
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and building Web Services.
  • Minimum of 2 years development experience in XML and DOM parser.
  • Minimum of 5 years development experience in building web applications.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with IBM Sterling OMS software, including configuration, customization, development, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C++ for system customizations and integrations.

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

  • Domain knowledge of order management and store systems.
  • Experience with IBM Sterling, IBM Sterling OMS, Java, JEE, JMS, HTML/CSS, WebLogic 10, Oracle 11 in Retail software.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
