The Principal Engineer within the Accounting & Finance Technology domain will play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation financial data architecture by leveraging Snowflake, dbt, and best practices in data engineering to build robust financial systems that drive insights and long-term value.

As a key partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders, you will transform complex business requirements into technical designs and data flows, driving scalability, reliability, and performance for finance and accounting use cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Leadership: Drive design and implementation of enterprise-grade data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for finance and accounting applications.
  • dbt Adoption Expertise: Lead the adoption and best practices in dbt for financial data transformations, lineage, and governance, ensuring trusted and cost-optimized financial data solutions.
  • Financial Systems Knowledge: Translate complex accounting and financial concepts (e.g., revenue recognition, reconciliations, and double-entry principles) into technical designs and data flows, driving accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Pipeline Development and Automation: Build and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt, integrating data from multiple enterprise and financial systems to ensure seamless data flows.
  • Data Integrity and Compliance: Ensure data accuracy, auditability, and compliance with financial reporting requirements and internal controls, maintaining the highest standards of data quality and integrity.
