Academic Counsellor Job Opportunity

The role of Academic Counsellor involves providing guidance and support to students in their academic journey, specifically in relation to the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) training program.

  • Lead calling and qualification:  Make outbound calls to leads generated through digital marketing, partnerships, and walk-ins, understand student background, goals, and eligibility for the CFA course, qualify and prioritize leads based on interest, urgency, and readiness to enroll.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Follow-ups & CRM Management:  Maintain a robust follow-up schedule via calls, WhatsApp, SMS, and email, use CRM tools to track lead stages, next actions, and conversion progress, maintain daily records of interactions, lead updates, and closures.
  • Video Counselling & Campus Walk-ins:  Conduct one-on-one video counselling sessions to explain the course roadmap, fees, batch schedules, and career outcomes, handle in-person walk-in inquiries at the campus and provide full counselling support, tailor sessions to address common student objections and guide them to a confident decision.
  • End-to-End Sales Closure:  Drive prospects through the full B2C sales funnel - from inquiry to counselling to enrollment and payment, collaborate with internal teams to process admissions, collect documents, and confirm course onboarding, meet and exceed monthly admission and revenue targets.
  • Career & Academic Guidance:  Educate students about the CFA curriculum, level-wise exams, and how it maps to roles in investment banking, equity research, portfolio management, and financial consulting, provide realistic expectations on timelines, job outcomes, and future upskilling needs.

Requirements include:

  • Experience:  Minimum 1 year of experience in academic counselling, inside sales, or education B2C sales preferably CFA test prep courses.
  • Skills & Traits:  Strong English and communication skills, target-driven, persuasive, and relationship-focused, excellent objection handling, follow-up discipline, and closing skills, comfort with CRM and lead management systems.
  • Qualification:  Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields, additional certifications in sales or finance education are a plus.
