Derivatives Trader Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Derivatives Trader to manage firm capital using systematic, semi-systematic, or high-performing discretionary strategies across CME, CBOT, Comex, ICE, and CFE markets.

This role is suitable for both point-and-click traders and those evolving toward automated frameworks, offering opportunities for portfolio optimization and performance enhancement.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing profitable trading strategies with risk-adjusted returns and demonstrate strong risk management skills, including a solid understanding of risk controls, money management, order management, and regulatory compliance.

Ambitious and results-driven traders who can analyze market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly will excel in this position, taking ownership of trading decision-making, PnL, and drawdowns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generating positive cash flow on a consistent basis with strict risk discipline
  • Maintaining risk exposure within firm parameters through effective portfolio and risk management
  • Continuously analyzing and adjusting strategies based on market conditions and real-time performance data to optimize performance
  • Developing and deploying systematic or semi-systematic strategies to drive growth and profitability
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of buy-side trading experience in futures at a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or family office
  • Demonstrated success in managing profitable trading strategies with risk-adjusted returns
  • Strong risk management skills, including a solid understanding of risk controls, money management, order management, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to trade contracts with different underlying assets and adapt to changing markets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on structured decision-making and risk discipline
