Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of skills to create, install and manage our databases.

As a Senior Cassandra DBA, you will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and scaling our most critical data storage and intelligence platforms. You will build, maintain, and scale production services and server farms across multiple global data centers and public cloud providers.

  • Collaborate with other team members to manage both our production SQL-based and NoSQL databases.
  • Manage mission-critical high transaction rate databases, including configuration, administration, monitoring, security management, performance optimization, replication, troubleshooting, and backup of both traditional SQL databases (MySQL/Percona) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra/MongoDB)
Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB) required.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of traditional SQL-based databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Percona) required.
  • Experience managing Kafka message bus infrastructures strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Install, configure, and upgrade nodes in high availability customer production clusters.
  2. Manage international 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure powering the Concentrix services, including deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.
  3. Evaluate proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting in the production environment.
  4. Contribute to evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure.
