Job Title: Risk Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review transactions processed at acquired merchants via various channels, including UPI, POS, and PG platforms.
  • Analyze merchant behavior to detect fraudulent activities and identify patterns.
  • Verify documents received from merchants in case of escalations or fraud observed.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the unit about observed frauds and patterns.
  • Create rules for merchant monitoring based on observed patterns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry fraud trends and methods (MOs) to prevent merchant fraud.
  • Coordinate with concerned teams for data requirements.
  • Presentation preparation and submission to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders on new requirements or enhanced surveillance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fraud monitoring and analysis.
  • Fundamental understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregator business, and UPI fraud.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including filters, pivot tables, charts, lookup functions, etc.
  • Coding skills in SQL are a plus.
  • Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, or Econometrics is preferred.
