The role of Product Manager plays a pivotal part in driving the growth and improvement of products throughout their lifecycle. Key responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing customer and product requirements to ensure our offerings meet evolving customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop time-to-market strategies, identify market positioning, product positioning, define value-selling features, and price positioning.
  • Map competition strategy analysis to understand product positioning and devise proactive strategies to counter it, while identifying unexplored markets.
  • Understand feasibility gaps and formulate sales and marketing strategies, including branding, trade shows, reference building, and creating conditions for sale.
  • Functional Core:
  • Conduct customer visits to understand new technologies, emerging trends, enhanced features, and possible areas of product creation, then analyze these findings to generate ideas for new products/enhancements.
  • Convert ideas into possible features or product functionality and share detailed descriptions with the NPD team.
  • Ensure benchmarking with latest technologies, processes, and specifications needed by the product, bridging any identified gaps.
  • Monitor milestones in the product development cycle by coordinating with design, NPD, and tracking time and costs, organizing alpha/beta testing, and ensuring successful product launches and communication.
  • Internal Process:
  • Track all complaints in coordination with Sales and Marketing, ensuring good product references in the marketplace until defined first references are created.
  • Standardize the product by passing on comments for the pilot batch and sharing them with Design/NPD.
  • Train the sales force on product knowledge to handle enquiries and sell value on USPs of the product.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and provide technical inputs for New Product Promotion material preparation.
  • Ensure proper Pharma-related documentation and certification as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Make decisions on idea generation and suggestions to NPD and create TTM strategies post-approval and product development.
