Procurement Specialist Role

The Procurement Specialist will lead the procurement process from start to finish, encompassing vendor verification, automated purchase order generation, expedited orders, and vendor master data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Procurement Oversight:
    • Direction of the entire procurement process from initial request to final payment, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Management of global procurement and sourcing from suppliers, including negotiation of pricing, payment terms, and conditions.
  • Pricing and Data Analysis:
    • Evaluation of supplier pricing to ensure alignment with budget expectations or identification of necessary adjustments to master data files.
  • Supplier Collaboration:
    • Collaboration with suppliers to meet required timing for materials, advising internal teams on delivery delays as soon as identified.
  • Purchase Requisitions and Vendor Sourcing:
    • Review of purchase requisitions to identify suitable sources for supply, leveraging e-sourcing tools for service master agreement creation and contract term management.
  • Negotiation and Cost Savings:
    • Negotiation with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings for the business.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Leadership of a team of professionals, providing guidance and support for efficient operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Publication of weekly and monthly reports (SLA dashboards, MIS reports) to supervisors.
    • Timely resolution of invoice discrepancies and coordination with finance department to ensure payments align with agreed terms.
  • Purchase Order Creation and Tracking:
    • Creation and management of purchase orders in SAP for proper documentation and tracking.
  • Expedited Orders and Delivery:
    • Expedited orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of goods, services, and works.
