Senior Security Consultant Job Description

As a seasoned cybersecurity professional, you will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive security initiatives that ensure the highest level of information protection. Your expertise will guide organizations in implementing robust security frameworks, conducting thorough risk assessments, and providing strategic guidance on best practices to mitigate threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute ISO 27001 implementation and audit projects, including thorough risk assessments, gap analysis, and compliance checks.
  • Drive the implementation of NIST cybersecurity frameworks for clients across various industries, ensuring seamless integration and effective controls.
  • Provide expert guidance on security best practices, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives, empowering organizations to make informed decisions.
  • Perform internal audits and prepare clients for certification audits in alignment with ISO standards, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Create and maintain Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation, supporting continuous improvement processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage end-to-end client engagements, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional results.
  • Mentor and lead a team of junior consultants, reviewing deliverables and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Conduct security awareness sessions, training, and workshops for clients and internal stakeholders, promoting a culture of cybersecurity excellence.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in information security consulting, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience with ISO 27001 implementation & auditing, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in NIST framework implementation and controls assessment, with the ability to analyze complex systems.
  • Experience in auditing cloud environments across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on security.
  • Strong understanding of GRC practices and cybersecurity principles, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • ISO 27001:2013/2022 Lead Auditor Certification is mandatory, with additional certifications advantageous.
  • Prior team management or leadership experience is required, with a focus on mentorship and development.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
