Job Title: Plant IT Head

About the Role

This position plays a crucial part in Plant IT, overseeing the entire IT infrastructure, applications, and systems for plant operations. The primary goal is to support, maintain, and enhance IT operations necessary to meet manufacturing and compliance requirements of plant operations, including production, QC, engineering, and warehouse.

  1. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of heading IT systems in a medium to large-scale formulations or API manufacturing facility.
  2. They should be able to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure and systems to support various internal functions like production, engineering, QC, and warehouse within the manufacturing facility.
  3. The person will oversee the installation, configuration, and management of servers, ensuring optimal performance for reliable operations.
  4. They will manage active and passive networking components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cable systems.
  5. The candidate should understand pharmaceutical processes and their importance on product quality and safety.
  6. They will ensure all IT systems comply with industry regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to GxP standards.
  7. The person will maintain good documentation practices for IT infrastructure, applications, configurations, and procedures.
  8. They will ensure information security measures, including cybersecurity protocols and privacy security standards to protect sensitive data.
  9. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and HO departments for any systems issues, improvements, CAPAs, and new projects implementation for a unified workflow.
  10. They will diagnose and resolve technical issues related to IT systems, providing timely support to minimize downtime and perform root cause analysis for specified issues.
  11. The person will handle data backup of all critical systems and be conversant with online backup systems like Veeam and Acronics.
  12. They will have experience with major audits like US FDA, MHRA, TGA, and be familiar with relevant guidelines and compliance standards.
  13. The candidate will have good knowledge of cGAMP and compliance requirements like 21 CFR Part 11 and EU-Annexure 11.
  14. They will assess system gaps applicable to user management, data backup, system hardware, software, and implement corrective actions.
  15. The candidate will have good exposure to L1 system upgrades and L2 integration, such as DAS/Historian. They will be familiar with OT-IT integration technologies like Kepware Gateway for PLC & IPC integration with central DAS systems.
  16. They will have knowledge of quality management systems with very good exposure into change controls, incidents, and deviations handling, RA & CAPA.
  17. Awareness of Industry 4.0 strategies and smart manufacturing initiatives will be an advantage.
