Job Description:

As an Intercompany Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of intercompany transactions. Your responsibilities will include tracking and reconciling accounts receivable and payable balances, investigating discrepancies, and processing corrections as requested by accounting teams.

During Month-End Close & Consolidation, you will assist in the monthly close process, ensuring accurate coding, approval, and recording of intercompany transactions. You will collaborate with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and accounting teams to direct expenses to the correct ledger and prepare journal entries to reclassify expenses to regional ledgers.

In addition, you will work closely with tax teams to ensure timely payment and billback of taxes and fees, and partner with corporate accounting teams to enhance enterprise-wide efficiency and standardization of intercompany processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with high-volume transactions in a real estate, development, or construction accounting environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of corporate and project accounting principles, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Understanding of business operations to ensure accurate expense coding.
  • Experience with real estate accounting and ERP systems such as Oracle, Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, RealPage, or SAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
