Job Overview

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing mechanical engineering components, automation systems, and SPMs. The role involves working in a team environment to design, develop, and review 2D detail drawings.

This position requires strong technical skills, including knowledge of CAD software, precision components, fabricated structures, and material handling equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with automation, electromechanical/mechatronics concepts, and related products. They should also be well-versed in engineering calculations, selection of commercial items, and validation of engineering components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical engineering components, automation systems, and SPMs.
  • Work in a team environment to design, develop, and review 2D detail drawings.
  • Conduct engineering calculations to validate designs and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Select commercial items such as bearings, motors, gearboxes, servomotors, sensors, and conveyors.
  • Awareness about best machining processes, heat treatment processes, engineering materials, surface treatment, EDM, EBM, mechatronics, etc.
  • Knowledge about robotics, robot selection, application (added advantage).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 4-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of CAD software, precision components, fabricated structures, and material handling equipment.
  • Experience with automation, electromechanical/mechatronics concepts, and related products.
  • Well-versed in engineering calculations, selection of commercial items, and validation of engineering components.
