About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our product and mechanical design efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of multi-gas sensor products, from concept to production.

  • Develop and implement mechanical designs that meet market requirements and ensure seamless product integration with other teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost.
  • Design and develop complete sensor systems, including housings, gas flow architecture, simulation chambers, control units, and portable instruments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design.
  • 5-8 years of experience in mechanical/product design, preferably with a background in Formula One Student Teams.
  • Expertise in CAD tools, such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Fusion 360, Inventor, CATIA.
  • Strong aesthetic sense, with experience in injection moulding and CNC-based metallic enclosures.
  • Experience with NPT, BSP, BSPT threads and machined fittings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In addition to the required skills, it would be beneficial to have knowledge of electronics, chemistry, sensors, and packaging.
