Job Title : Hybrid Exchange Administrator

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage, maintain and optimize our hybrid Microsoft Exchange environment (On-Premises + Online/Office 365). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Exchange architecture, hybrid configurations, migrations, automation, and end-to-end operational support.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Exchange On-Premises environments
  • Administer and optimize Exchange Online (Office 365), including mailboxes, policies, and security settings
  • Support, troubleshoot, and maintain hybrid configuration between Exchange On-Prem and Exchange Online
  • Perform mailbox provisioning, de-provisioning, migrations (cutover, staged, hybrid)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mail flow issues, email delivery failures, and mailbox performance challenges
  • Manage mobile device access and ActiveSync-related configurations
  • Implement, configure, and maintain email security solutions (anti-spam, anti-phishing, DLP policies)
  • Use PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and administrative efficiency
  • Coordinate with Microsoft support for escalations and advanced technical guidance
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration details
  • Ensure compliance with organizational email policies, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards
  • Contribute to capacity planning, system upgrades, and Exchange roadmap initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 8 - 12 years of hands-on experience with Exchange On-Premises (2013/2016/2019) and Exchange Online (Office 365)
  • Strong knowledge of hybrid Exchange configurations and migration methodologies
  • Expertise in troubleshooting mail flow, SMTP, DNS, connectors, and message tracking
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting
  • Experience implementing email security, compliance, and data loss prevention (DLP)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security and compliance center
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and authentication mechanisms
  • Experience with third-party email gateways and security solutions (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast, Cisco ESA)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex escalations at L3 support level
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified : Messaging Administrator Associate, MCSE)
