The mobility industry is at a critical juncture, and technology is playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of automotive. Our core products align with key industry trends, including digital instrument clusters, displays, Android-based infotainment systems, domain controllers, advanced driver assistance systems, and wireless battery management systems for electric vehicles.

Mission of the Role

You will be responsible for all aspects of program delivery execution for a specific customer, aligned with Visteon's commitment to quality, cost, design, delivery, and manufacturing (QCDDM). This includes creating long-term customer intimacy through achieving customer satisfaction and establishing strong relationships.

You will directly lead a team of engineers covering multiple programs with potentially products across Visteon's cockpit electronics and electrification product portfolio, while coordinating with other departments such as operations, purchasing, finance, and sales.

  • Oversight and responsibility for all program deliverables with specific customers.

Year-One Deliverables

  • Focusing on delivering awarded programs at QCDDM targets.
  • Creating a high-performing team culture through strong collaboration and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Tech Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Automotive experience > 10+ years, with Tier 1 experience > 5 years in the last 10 years.
  • Engineering/program launch execution experience > 10+ years.
  • Customer-facing experience > 5 years.
  • Japanese language proficiency.

Skill Set:

  • Launch of new products consistent with customer requirements.
  • Single point of contact for programs and cascading customer requirements to project teams.
  • Accountable for program profit and loss.
  • Accountable for negotiating scope of new business with customers.
  • Lead and manage delivery, resource planning, launch coordination, change control, project part tracker, and single point of contact for customers.
  • Identify potential issues in advance and coordinate mitigation actions.
  • Accountable for profitability improvement through control of design changes.
  • Lead communication with customers during program launches.
  • Leading gateway reviews as part of program management.
  • Experience in automotive product life cycles.
  • Experience in SW project deliveries, product launches, design, purchasing, supplier quality, and program management skills.
  • Experience with different customers (OEMs).
  • Manage cross-functional teams.
  • Create customer-focused strategies and value propositions.
  • Possess fundamental product knowledge.
  • Internal communication of program/business risk and status.
  • Good knowledge about clusters, infotainment, and cockpit domain controllers.
