Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Refractory Installation Technician to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality of refractory installations, maintaining safety protocols, and adhering to project schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain refractory installation quality by following SOPs and implementation guidelines.
  • Conduct safety toolbox talks, site audits, and report near misses in compliance with Imerys Safety Protocols.
  • Execute refractory installation jobs by strictly adhering to refractory execution drawings and timelines.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and obtain project completion certificates from customers.
  • Prepare MIS reports, including daily progress reports, tracking sheets, and material reconciliations in prescribed formats.
  • Manage material inventory at stores and sites, ensuring correctness of quantity received at project sites.
  • Comply with all statutory requirements at project sites.
  • Submit contractor bills and customer certifications for monthly billing on time.
  • Maintain site machinery in good condition, performing timely repairs and maintenance.

Profile/Competencies:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Diploma in Ceramics or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in engineering or project execution
  • Strong creative mindset, self-starter, and team player skills
  • Ability to interpret basic financial data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership skills to interact with senior managers across the organization
  • Good management skills, with advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
