About the Role

This is a key position within our team, responsible for providing scientific support to both internal and external clients. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering consistent results and driving business growth through strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide technical/scientific support to both internal and external clients, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Maintain and configure testing and assay summary information in the Test Master application of the ICOLIMS system, ensuring seamless integration with other departments.
  • Configure test codes within the STARLIMS system, streamlining processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Assist all other ICL departments with Global Scientific Affairs related issues and questions, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Utilize various resources, including the internet, journals, and internal validation documentation, to update specimen requirements, stability, and transport information within departmental databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to Global Scientific Affairs issues, upholding industry standards and best practices.
  • Attend meetings with both internal and external clients on behalf of Global Scientific Affairs, effectively communicating strategies and outcomes.
  • Provide notifications and technical documentation to the Global Validation Department and ultimately Global Client Services, maintaining transparency and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain CLSI documents library, ensuring easy access to critical information and supporting informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field, preferred.
  • Experience in Analytical Platforms such as Siemens, Roche, Abbott, Beckman, highly desirable.
  • More than 5 years' relevant experience, demonstrating expertise and leadership in scientific affairs.
  • Knowledge of clinical laboratory concepts and terminology, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with ability to analyze data and present findings effectively.
