About the Role
This position plays a crucial role in providing insights to clients on optimizing pricing and commercial terms for key enterprise software licenses. The ideal candidate will lead analysis and problem-solving, manage client relationships, develop team members, shape new services, and work closely with senior leadership and marketing to take new capabilities to market.
Main Responsibilities:
• Execute against client mandates by leading a team on analysis, reporting, and client syndication against agreed milestones.
• Collaborate with senior executives to develop complex scenarios that enable them to solve strategic software license commercial issues.
• Build and maintain software license benchmarking databases with oversight from practice leaders.
• Support the institution of mechanisms for ongoing database updates.
• Contribute to Business Development via proposal shaping, client walkthroughs, responding to RFPs, seeding opportunities, creating thought leadership artefacts, and partnering with sales and marketing teams.
• Manage client relationships at middle to senior stakeholder groups.
• Supervise team activities and take an active role in the professional development, growth, and mentoring of team members.
• Facilitate the growth and evolution of the practice by helping with team hiring and management.
• Assist other teams with pricing/contracting related inquiries and projects as needed.
Requirements:
We are seeking a high-calibre individual with 6-9 years of experience in sourcing advisory or IT advisory firms (with emphasis on IT cost management or IT asset management – SAM* and/or FinOps). The ideal candidate should have exposure to pricing and commercial engagement approaches of multiple enterprise software types and possess robust understanding of preferred commercial models adopted by enterprises, applicable discounting slabs, negotiation levers, module-based pricing, and usage patterns observed across subscription, perpetual, and other licensing models.

• MBA preferred but relevant experience is more important.
Compensation and Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience.
