Job Title: Senior Product Development Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished engineer to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering support to model-based definition (MBD), manufacture, and inspection (MB-DMI).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creation of UG NX models of Aero engine components.
  2. Creation of 2D & 3D PMI drawings of components.
  3. Support to manufacturing Quality Notification (QNs).
  4. Creation of best practices documents for many MBD topics.
  5. Create, manage models, and assemblies in Team Centre.
  6. Understand technical processes and design requirements of gas turbine hardware.
  7. Learn and apply sophisticated solid modeling and analysis tools in a highly proficient manner.
  8. Utilize standard work, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), and other tools to continuously improve design processes.
  9. Communicate with leadership and management on status and risks to program schedule and metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced in Siemens tools such as NX, Team Center, Latest GD T, and its application on CAD models.
  • ASME standards such as ASME Y14-5-2018, ASME Y14-41-2019, and other industry standards.
  • Experienced in digital annotation of product information crucial to manufacturing and inspection.
  • Application of PMI on CAD models using latest GD T, ASME, and other industry standards.
  • Experienced in consumption of digitally annotated product information by manufacturing and inspection.
  • Documentation of best practices for guiding other users on how to practice MBD in Siemens ecosystem.
  • Source authority derivative file management including generation, validation, checking, and resolving errors.
  • Managing Requirements Communication of work completed via documentation, presentation to P W SMEs, Chiefs, Fellows, and leadership.

Education:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Masters in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of software tools such as Anark, Elysium, CADIQ, CAPVIDIA, MBDVidia High proficiency in Unigraphics, MS Office, Teamcenter, and SAP is desired.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Significant interaction with internal and external customers is expected.
  • Communication skills and assertiveness are key qualities to possess.
  • Proficiency in analysis tools such as ANSYS and workbench.
  • Automated design optimization skills are a plus.
  • Broad understanding of hardware, drawings, and manufacturing methods.
  • Green Black Belt six sigma certification is also a plus.
