Job Overview:

The Head of Vertical Transportation Business will lead our team to gain a full understanding of the Indian Vertical Transportation market, promoting our local VT profile, generating sales, and driving business development. Key responsibilities include building relationships with customers and regulators, leading professional teams, and delivering services according to management guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize with the customer, competitor, authority, and regulation VT landscape in India
  • Provide market input for updating and fine-tuning of the VT strategy for India.

Business Development and Sales Strategies:

  • Develop a business development plan to implement growth targets and promote us as a leading VT authority in India
  • Create and identify sales leads through networking, industry observation, and effective sales channels
  • Maintain strong customer relationships, understand customers' needs, and constraints
  • Cultivate new business opportunities and retain existing customers
  • Prepare sales presentations and materials in collaboration with the LCC and marketing department
  • Coordinate global VT expert participation in customer visits and presentations
  • Collaborate with other subsidiaries
  • Monitor upcoming events and prepare our participation

Operations and Resource Management:

  • E nsure smooth operations in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Manage P&L for our VT activities in India
  • Prepare regular progress reports
  • Plan and manage resources, including recruitment and development of VT experts
  • Ensure VT experts receive necessary training and authorization management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and 'Go-to-market' attitude
  • Drive for shaping business development and sales activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (min. B2 level) and relevant local languages
  • Good presentation skills

  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Proficiency in MS office software
  • Mobility, flexibility, and willingness for regional business trips
  • Team player

Desired Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of lift technology and industry
  • Familiarity with inspections and certifications of VT; further training will be provided upon joining

Required Education:

  • Bachelor Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical)
  • Master degree would be beneficial, particularly a business-oriented one (MBA)
