Ensure reliability, safety, and compliance in space-grade components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Quality Standards: Implement quality standards (e.g., ISRO-PAS, ECSS, MIL-STD) to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance of space-grade components and systems.
  • Design Review Participation: Engage in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) to embed quality requirements.
  • Audit and Process Evaluation: Conduct audits and process evaluations across vendors and internal teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Component and Documentation Management: Ensure traceability and configuration control of components and documentation & Version control of Designs as well as documents.
  • Risk Management and Failure Analysis: Support risk management and failure mode analysis (FMEA, FTA).

Quality Control Tasks:

  • Inspect and Test Components: Perform inspection and testing of incoming components, in-process assemblies, and final products.
  • Compliance Verification: Monitor and verify compliance with ATPs (Acceptance Test Procedures), PID, and DTRs.
  • Environmental Testing: Coordinate environmental testing (thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC) and review results.
  • Non-Conformance Investigation: Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Test Equipment Calibration: Maintain calibration and certification records of test equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in QA/QC roles, preferably in aerospace or space systems.
  • Familiarity with standards like ECSS, ISRO-PAS, MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools, test benches, and environmental chambers.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with satellite subsystems (e.g., Reaction Wheel, Battery, EPS, CDH).
  • Experience with satellite Assembly & Integration QA/QC.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and statistical quality control.
  • Exposure to cleanroom protocols and ESD-safe handling.
  • Certification/Knowledge in Six Sigma, AS9100, or ISO 9001 is a plus.
