As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing robust data architecture. Your expertise in creating scalable ETL designs will enable the development of performant data pipeline solutions and feature engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and possess proficiency in languages such as Python and SQL. Familiarity with Snowflake or other data warehousing platforms is also an asset.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data pipelines and collaborate with data scientists to understand data sources and integrate them into scalable and efficient data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data architecture and ETL development
  • Develop data quality checks and perform data analysis
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
  • Collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams
  • Create and maintain data models and documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we are seeking candidates with:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Proven experience of 5+ years working as a Data Engineer in a cloud-based environment
  • Proficiency in developing batch and streaming ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, Pyspark, and open-source format files
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with Snowflake or other data warehousing platforms
  • Understanding of distributed systems like Hadoop and Streaming - Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
