Role Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about early-stage investing and eager to learn and grow. As a Venture Capital Investment Analyst, you will work closely with our founder and partner, gaining insights into startup evaluation, portfolio company management, and ecosystem engagement.

You will have hands-on experience in evaluating market size, assessing products/services, including technology moats, teams, business models, and financials. You will also support our investment team in commercial due diligence, financial due diligence, and legal due diligence, coordinating with professional firms to oversee their findings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Evaluation: Conduct thorough market research, evaluate products/services, assess teams, business models, and financials, identify risk factors, and analyze competitive landscapes and funding histories.
  • Due Diligence: Support our investment team in conducting commercial, financial, and legal due diligence, coordinating with professional firms to oversee their findings.
  • Deal Sourcing: Assist in sourcing opportunities from founder networks, investment bankers, and the startup ecosystem, screen startups, review pitch decks, and conduct preliminary assessments based on deal evaluation metrics.
  • Portfolio Management: Engage with portfolio companies, assist in preparing updates, and support founders with research and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Attend startup events, demo days, and network with founders, accelerators, and fellow investors.
  • Internal Reports & Documentation: Assist in preparing compliance documentation and internal records.
  • Investor Relations: Assist in making presentations for Limited Partners and investor updates.
Requirements
  • NISM Series XIX-D exam is mandatory.
  • Passion for startups, venture capital, and innovation is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess market trends and business models are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • Background in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Prior experience in startups, consulting, investment banking, or finance is a plus.
