Product Development Engineer

Role Overview:
  • Collaborate with suppliers to refine products for manufacturability and contribute to our growing portfolio with a focus on future-ready mobility solutions.
  • Work on high-integrity designs while optimizing cost, manufacturability, and performance.
  • Design and develop automotive interiors or accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design prototype wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components.
  • Gather insights on market needs and consumer trends to inform product development.
  • Engineer lightweight, robust load-bearing structures (FEA validation).
  • Integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design.
  • Collaborate with vendors for precision fabrication and quality delivery.
  • Conduct testing for durability, safety, and compliance.
  • Optimize materials and processes for cost, weight, and performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, changes, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2–4 years' experience in product development (mobility, automotive, or structural products).
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping.
